ibis Budget - Melbourne Airport

I wanted some no-frills airport transit accommodation after a midnite arrival from overseas. Ibis Budget delivered exactly what l needed at a price comparable to getting to and from the city if staying at a friend's place but without the cost, hassle and time of bus/taxi/transport. It exceeded my expectations with a few little touches like a kettle with tea, coffee and milk provided and actual drinking glasses rather than paper cups. Compact shower and toilet worked fine with great water pressure and generously sized towels. Clean comfy bed with numerous quality pillows and plenty of space in the room for luggage. Also, snack foods and drinks available in the lobby. A quick no-hassles check-in to my prepaid room and good soundproofing. Multiple power-points available for charging accessories. Highly recommended and l will be using this hotel again if l need overnight transit accommodation in Melbourne.

The hotel is super close and very walkable even with a big suitcase. Check in was a breeze and the desk clerk carried my suitcase up the stairs. The room was spotless and the sheets were crisp. There were enough clean towels and an extra blanket. It was perfect for what i needed which was a bed for the night. The free breakfast was better than expected and check out was simple.

Very convenient location, and easy walking distance from the international terminal even with two suitcases. The hotel messaged with directions on how to find them, and the way is clearly signposted. This was a godsend after a long haul flight. The room was clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was clean and had great water pressure. Overall a good place to stay overnight after a late flight.

I loved that we could take the airport trolley and just walk our luggage to the hotel and in the morning we could just walk it back (our bag had a wonky wheel so this was very handy) .I was unsure about the twin beds to begin with but ended up having the best sleep (even though it was incredibly short due to the length of our stop over). The shower was a good temp and good water pressure

Room was fine. It's Ibis Budget, you get what you pay for.
